OK,

Here may be another way to look at things.  We have a rather large sample 
size here, and a wide range of folks and boat usage patterns.  Is there 
anyone on this list who has personally had an engine fail that was 
attributed to extended 'low speed' running?  And talking about your actual 
engine, not 'I herd about this guy who...'.
