I decided to do the calculations contained in this OSU piece but was a bit 
baffled by it. Said you need 3 numbers, length, beam and freeboard but the 
formula required only roll period and beam. Am I missing something? I have 
considerably more freeboard and top hamper on my sundeck boat than a 
fisherman but according to the formula, it neither aids or affects me 
negatively.

Any ideas?
