T&T: Issue with broker and survey

In the days before YachtWorld in may have made sense to have help in finding
a suitable boat, but now I'm not so sure.  Both brokers (the buyers and the
sellers) have a vested interest in selling the boat at the highest price
possible, they are going to split the commission and a higher price means
more in their pocket.

However if only one broker is involved in the transaction he gets all of the
commission and may be willing to take less if he is getting all of it.

I would prefer to spend my time finding a good lawyer to look over the
contract before I sign it and a good surveyor.

My approach to this has been that if the owner didn't disclose certain
deficiencies (blisters, for example) then I assume that there aren't any.
When they are found, if significant, we re-negotiate the price.  Or I can
walk
away.
