Bob and All,

>Interior walls and cabin sole have a few gouges. Interior is teak finished in

If the wood is only "dented" and none actually removed, it is
sometimes possible to remove the dent without any further damage to
the wood by using an old furniture repair technique. While I have not
done this myself, I have seen it done with remarkable results.

Carefully sand off all wood finish in the area so that only bare wood
remains in and adjacent to the dent. Using a steam iron, steam the
wood, causing it to swell up. Be careful not to burn the wood with
the iron by shieding the surrounding wood with hot pads or something
such. The furniture refurbisher I talked to used a purpose-made
steaming wand, but I was told that a steam iron will work, too.

After steaming, let the wood dry thoroughly before refinishing.

Some woods respond to this technique better than others, so one just
has to experiment.

Just passing on a professional's words of wisdom....not mine. YMMV

Take care and be safe.
