T&T: Active stabilisers

I have old style Niads on  a 1981 48' Hatteras MY . They work well at 7-8
knots and probably at higher speeds too. Recommended maintenance is replacing
seals and changing oil every three years. Cost about $500-700 plus haulout, so
do it when bottom paint is needed anyway. I probably would not spring for them
if the boat didn't have them, but they are nice even on the ICW when the
inconsiderate throw large wakes.
