Have owned a GB42 w/o and now have a GB46 with.  No way would I purchase a
trawler without.  Ditto for Admiral.
We have traveled from RI to Florida.
Mexico to San Franciso and stablizers are worth the $ in our view.

We spend a
lot of time in the SF bay and the "slot" is very rough most afternoons.
Without Niads we would need to work our way across the bay like a sailboat in
3-5' chop, very close and strictly on the beam.  Any discussion on the next
boat includes stabalizers.
