Just a follow-up on a good product with terrific support. A few years ago I
purchased the Snake River Marine Ultra-8 tank monitor. Bought the "rods" for
the diesel tanks and the aluminum foil, glue on, sensors for the plastic
water and waste tanks. Kinda reminded me of the early computers and programs
I bought. Essentially good but not very flexible and a little clunky. Seemed
difficult to get the calibration right.
Enter New Providence Marine. Some of the SNE staff left the company because
of differing philosophy in design and support and started this new company.
As a result of several posts on this site, I emailed
dennis at ferriellosales.com and instantly got a reply from Dennis. Long and
short of it is that he made me a very good deal on a replacement control
panel that (1) used the same SNE sensors, (2) was very much more flexible
and (3) fit into the same panel cutout.
I installed it yesterday afternoon, turned it on and had a few questions
about it's function that I couldn't directly tell from the literature.
Called their number and the phone was answered by Mr. Ferriello himself.
"Dennis here". I had my list of questions ready and he answered most of them
outright. Had a couple more that he didn't feel comfortable with. Two
minutes later, the chief engineer, Dave was on the horn and he quickly told
me what I needed to know and the design philosophy behind why it was that
way.
Absolutely incredible experience. No connection whatever except as a very
satisfied customer.
