This site drives me nuts some times. I usually have it up when I am working
and constantly am reading the emails from cruisers. My passion is boating
and specifically cruising and the wanderlust lifestyle. What keeps me going
is the knowledge that some day the work I am doing now will make my dream
possible. I have a picture pinned to the board in front of me of a 1987 42
Kadey Krogen it helps to remind me why I go to work everyday and what it is
I am working for. I live on the ICW now on my boat and seeing the cruisers
go by breaks my heart. Does anyone else go through this also? I'm 33 and
have been around boating for 15 years and since have gone through the power
squadron classes, gotten my 100 ton masters license, and now am part of the
auxiliary. All to have an excuse to be on the water for any reason.
It's hard for me to understand how average person can take the rat-race so
seriously. I am constantly meeting people who's life purpose is to work at
their business or career. Where's the adventure, the discovery, the risk.
There aren't many things that can compare to the feeling you get when its
early in the morning and the sun is rising and all around you is the
expanse. Maybe I'm just rambling, I don't know maybe its the beginning of my
work week.
