T&T: splitting a raw sea water intake

I put a check valve at the seacock before the hose barb. This stopped that 
problem for me, which was occurring with my reefer water intake. Be sure to 
use a BRONZE hex nipple, no brass. If you put in a new seacock, look at 
Groco's strainers. For critical stuff, I used the wedge shaped ones which 
you can clean out by opening a door:
