T&T: Tandem Anchor question

Some time back a listee suggested using a tandem anchor setup is a good choice
for heavy weather if swinging room is available. This makes sense to me as the
boat will always preasent the bow to the wind.  We use an all chain rode. Any
thoughts on how best to add a second anchor to the rode? The primary anchor is
a SuperMax, secondary is a Danforth. What would be the best distance between
the two anchors?
