Well, that's about the worst advice I've ever seen on this forum!

All maritime insurance runs under the doctrine of Uberrimae Fidei (Utmost
Good Faith).

That means that you are obligated to disclose to the insurer anything and
everything that might influence their decision regarding whether to accept
the risk. 

Much of the marine insurance industry does distinguish between living aboard
and full time cruising, but if you think that they won't discover your 12
month slip contract when faced with a 6 figure claim.... If you think that
their investigator won't interview the marina owner and employees.... If you
think that they won't have a conversation with the owner or other employees
of your employer....

Either do it right, or put your money in the bank.
