@ Terrence

VERY funny! What an elegant solution to the problem!

@ Dave

I completely agree with your comments about what is "comfortable". That is
a highly personal thing with many facets perhaps foremost among them being
the intended purpose of the boat. This has been a major topic of discussion
between my wife and I. It was also the driving force behind the other
question I posed on this list - that being how my large size will affect my
access to engines. And I am very concerned about the "stuff" issue.
Getting my wife to part with things has always been a challenge.

@ Rich

Thank you for that. It is the real world experience of people like you that
is most meaningful to me.

@ Larry

I agree about the "cost per hour". That is an intimidating number but to me
that is not an appropriate parameter to use in making a purchase decision.
For me, it is a question of determining if our available resources can
accommodate the cost of a "comfortable" boat.

@ Jonathan

Amen, brother! I posted similar questions on some other boating forums over
the past couple of months but the replies I got were not very informative.
Not rude or anything just not very useful. Quite a contrast to what I have
experienced here. Thanks again, one and all. I am sure I will be hanging
around this list for quite awhile soaking up the knowledge and experience so
generously shared here.
