T&T: "It tastes like Boat"

"What do people on this list do to address 'Boat Taste' and 'Boat Smell' in
their food and items on the boat?"

Of course Marin keeps his boat in the PNW, where, in spite of the
reputation for rain, the humidity and temperature are relatively low
compared to, say, the Gulf coast. That's easier on tastes and smells aboard.

Given we can't all move our boats to the PNW (wish that you could),
the best approach is to keep the boat aired out as much as possible,
and buy foodstuffs only for the near term -- keeping them sealed as
well as you can.

One product mentioned on these lists in the past that is AMAZING:
Pure Ayre Odor Eliminator. It truly works wonders! Check it out at:
http://www.pureayre.com. We use it all the time at home and on the
boat, car, oily work clothes, etc.

No connection...happy user
