These folks http://www.cleanwatersolutionsinc.com/ had a display at 
Trawler Fest, they had a fish tank with live fish into which they poured 
diesel fuel. They poured it into the pad floating on the top of the 
tank, it converted into fish food. They have a product you can drop into 
an oily bilge, let it do its thing, then safely pump overboard. Bit 
pricey, but they work. Interesting!
