We do blow out all our lines and replace with enough cheap vodka to protect tank and pump. It makes spring much more delightful.

it & the entire system, as I am so fed up with the "almond" stench of the
red stuff. I always use way way more than I need, but it is such cheap
prevention as opposed to a freeze up.
But its just too nasty! I will only use it on the raw water side of the
engine.
