just about everybody else as well.

I think the rest of your post makes excellent points about the positive
points of cats, and you were honest about some of the negatives as well,
which is commendable (and rare). But the last phrase in the above
statement above is one that I don't agree with at all. The fact you've
found the PDQ to be the perfect boat for you has no bearing whatsoever
on what is the perfect boat for me or anyone else." end snip

Hi All

I do appreciate the comments for and against so far, but no-one (i think)
has really answered the basic question so far of stability of the cat vs
mono argument. I was out again in my Mainship this afternoon, and even in
relatively small waves, the Mainship is rocking and rolling (no problem
heading into the waves) with a following sea being particularly bad, and a
beam sea not very comfortable at all.

Compared to the cat (imo)the mainship is a distant second in terms of
comfort and stability. Now maybe the question should be, "is the Mainship
(34' 1979) just not particularly stable/seaworthy?" or "is the cat way nmore
stable?"
