Which one would be correct for my three batteries?  One is starting and two 
are the bank.  The boat sits in my driveway on the trailer when not in use. 
Power is available via the shore power cord to my house.
Can it be connected permanently and I suppose used when the Xantrex 40 is 
shut down?
