A friend of mine, a psychiatrist, thinks the book "The Strange Last Voyage of
Donald Crowhurst" is one of the best descriptions of the descent into madness
ever put into print. He uses it as a case study in his university classes in
abnormal psychology.

Of course he thinks that anyone who embarks on a solo circumnavigation is mad
already.
