T&T: Land vs. Water, now Guano?

So... unless you want to go into the fertilizer and guano business, best
to avoid the PNW. And for sure don't bring your boat up here because
before you know it, it will be taken over by cats and the interior
scratched, peed, and pooped into oblivion.

Jeeze Marin, all this time I thought it was CATAMARANS you didn't like!

In addition to my infamous beloved power catamaran I have five cats (and
an umbrella cockatoo) aboard my 80 foot sidewheeler and two more on the
little 800 square foot barge home here on C dock. I have no pets on
Stray Cat (apart from a few dock spiders).

I guess this means I'm permanently off your Christmas card list!

All my cats are in permanent lockdown, after a couple of
escapes/learning experiences when we first moved aboard. About once a
week I change out the kitty litter and we are very careful about open
doors. All the cats came with us when we sold our 30 acre farm. Of the
other eight liveaboards here on C dock three have medium to large dogs,
and two others have confined cats. Two of the five weekenders bring
their dogs aboard. The rest of this large marina is similarly endowed
with large and small dogs. I really feel for their owners walking them
up to poop hill behind the parking lot several times a day in all sorts
of weather. I've only found dog poop on the dock a couple of times, no
big deal at this marina. I'm informed that the marina management is
preparing to mine the guano source for nitrates, but they better act
quickly though, before that darn volcano acts up again!
