although we don 't have it lighted. And our retrieval line float is
big--- about seven feet of white PVC pipe through a white crab-pot-type
float with about five feet above the buoy and two feet below it with a
couple of shaft zincs clamped to it to keep the whole thing floating
upright. A line strong enough to pull the Rocna out backwards is
attached to the back of the blade on the anchor and to the float. The
reason for the long length of PVC above the float is so that we can pick
it up without having to use a boathook. We just lean over and grab it.
Gary asked:
Have you patented that yet? I love the tall shrimp pot like float idea
(an aquaintance over at Pleasant Harbor used a pink plastic lawn
flamingo on his shrimp pot floats). Tell ya what I'm gonna do. I'll
let ya use light sticks on top of your float if you let me make one like
yours for my boat. My huge freeboard forward would make that a fine
idea for retreival and make it a more imposing barrier for yahoos who
try to zoom through the anchor field and lay their rig on top of mine.
Thanks for your wisdom,
Gary
