T&T: Advise on Packing

Bob,
The green solid and goop are dripless packing material. My recollection
is to install one round of the regular packing (may want to switch to
Gore)then a couple of rounds of green solid (role into a rope) coated
with green goo and then one more regular packing. The idea is that the
green stuff (Teflon based I think) does not heat up excessively and can
be tightened down enough to eliminate the need for the drip which is for
cooling with conventional packing. I used it on my sailboat and it
worked as advertised. You can find it at West, Defender etc and may be
able to find actual directions on-line rather than my somewhat fuzzy
recollections.

<I have some varying thickness wax covered pieces of rope
and a few green pieces as well. I also have some green goop. It was
all in a baggy marked "packing". Can someone walk me through the
process of repacking this?
Thanks,
Bob>
