T&T: anchor shackles

Thanks for the great response to my swivel thread the other day. Ran about
60-40 against swivels for various reasons.

New thread. I want to install the strongest anchor shackle I can. A listee
recommended Crosby or CM, adding that CM had a product line that was 30%
stronger than the standard. I think I found it here:
http://www.cmindustrial.com/products/Chains/cspas-a.asp  but the dimension, R,
at 1.125" is just too large to go hrough the final link of my 3/8" HT chain.

Does anyone have another idea?
