T&T: AICW Virginia Cut restriction update

According to CG Hampton Roads, the problem with the "Spirit of  Nantucket" 
was not a shaft seal but a 1 foot x 2 inch gash in the shell  plating caused by 
an underwater object. For this reason, an underwater survey of  the area is 
going forward before the waterway is opened to traffic with a draft  greater 
than 6 feet. Additionally, the vessel will have to be moved out of the  channel. 
The "Spirit of Nantucket" remains across the waterway and now has a tug  
alongside. A salvage plan has been submitted to CG by  owners for approval prior to 
moving the vessel. Hopefully, this will  happen soon!
