T&T: Alpenglow Lights

I had one Alpenglow light, and was very disappointed with it. I used it in
my galley, as a full time liveaboard. As such, it was on probably 16+
hrs./day. The original bulb burned out in a few months, well within it's
warranty period. I had ordered a spare when I got the fixture, so could
replace it immediately. They sent me a new one under warranty. It's a pain
to change the bulb. You have to remove the entire fixture, disassemble it,
change the bulb, and reverse the process. When the second bulb burned out in
a few months, I just removed the entire fixture and sold it for half what I
had paid for it. I was also displeased with the low level of light it
produced, vs. a plain old 12V fluorescent fixture, with easily changeable
and readily available bulbs. I did have the red LED night option, and it
worked fine, but the entire fixture was a PITA. Wouldn't own one again or
recommend them.

NASA reports that galaxies are speeding away from earth at 90,000 miles a
second. What do you suppose they know that we don't?
