T&T: Window coverings?

I need ideas on how to cover my windows for the night.  I don't like 
curtains on rods.  I don't like mini blinds.
I can sew and  have thought about making a fitted cloth that would Velcro on 
the corners for each window.  That idea has problems with being 
inconvenient.  With the head and shower being in the focsle and the bunks in 
the aft area, almost all of the windows need covering.

Your input would be appreciated.
