I'm leaving for a business trip to the UK tomorrow. My passport expired in
May and obviously had to expedite the renewal process.
Atlas Visa Services - 1-800-242-VISA.
My company has an American Express travel office on-site at the corporate
tower. I went to a quickie photo place at lunch, took the renewal
application (done on-line from a .gov address - google passport renewal for
the exact site) and 2 pictures to the travel office on my way home from work
on a Tuesday. I received an email saying my passport was back the following
Tuesday. Picked it up from the travel office on Wednesday.
Cost to the company? Surprisingly little IMO - about $350 total - including
the standard government renewal fee.
YMMV and all that.
