We use Coastal Navigator so just plug the serial cable into a serial/USB
converter and set it up on com port 10. Works fines.

The price on the unit is 493 Sterling plus the antenna at 50 Sterling..so
that comes to about 540 Sterling times 2 for the lowly US dollar or 1080.
FedEx was another 60 sterling aka US$120 so US$1200 was close! No taxes!!

CN both displays the AIS targets on the maps and can also give you a window
on the bottom of all AIS target and their data. It will also provide verbal
warning at any parameter you want re a possible collision course. It always
gives you the time and distance to the CPA.
