BlankAIS sounds like a very mixed blessing.  Like GPS, it may give some
vessel operators a false sense of security and result in them not keeping a
proper lookout.  I'll always have to be concerned about vessels NOT having
the system aboard or those relying on it too much.  For the moment, I'll
keep my $1200 in my pocket and continue to use my binoculars.
