T&T: Mounting antenna hardware on balsa cored decks

I'm mounting three antennas on the pilothouse roof of my Nordhavn 40. The
deck is about an inch and a half thick, with balsa coring. Previously
mounting a through hull on my Camano I was very careful to ream out the
coring material and fill with epoxy so the through hull didn't crush the
fiberglass when tightened down. My question is with the substantial
construction of the Nordhavn do I need to drill, ream and fill the holes for
mounting the antenna bases? I know I need to waterproof them, but do I need
to over drill and then fill with epoxy like I did with the through hull?
Thanks! Scott
