This possible tragedy has been verified with the Coast Guard Fifth
District Command Center and is posted to the T&T List in the spirit of
assisting fellow boaters in need.
For those of you in the area, please keep a lookout for the vessel
and/or crew, and _notify the Coast Guard_ if you become aware of
something pertinent.
Please refrain from discussing this specific email on the list -
speculation adds nothing to the intended purpose of the list. That is
not to say that discussions about the dangers of cruising offshore,
Atlantic storms, storm survival techniques, and search and rescue aren't
appropriate.
Thanks.

Dear List Masters, I need your help.
Could you please post this request for help in locating my friends?
The Coast Guard is in day four of the search without sighting crew or
debris.
There is a possibility (remote) that my friends were blown off-course
and have beached for repairs.
Could we please ask the Listees for vigilance in watching for this S/V ?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Steve Slagsvol
