T&T: Dinghy - Platform

Rich, Curious to hear you reasons for not lashing your dinghy  on top of the 
swim platform, as that is what I am hoping to do with my Cape Dory  28 Power 
boat, I bought a used 8.5 foot inflatable with this in mind.  I am  tired of 
pulling my Avon Hard bottom behind.  It's fine with a sailboat,  but at 12 or 13 
knots, it's a bit of a wild ride and I don't want davits and the  boat has  a 
flybridge..
