T&T: Useing A desktop computer on inverter

Better to use one of the laptop DC to DC inverters that are available at
the big box electronic stores like Best Buy. There are many flavors.
Plug into your DC system, thus not having to run the inverter.

Has anyone used a desktop computer on a inverter? I have a Dell Opteplex
745 with a flat panel monitor that I would like to use aboard on a Heart
Freedom Marine 2000 which is a modified sine inverter. Thanks Joe
