Jeff:

Last summer the Coast Guard rerouted the north channel at Kent Narrows on
the Chesapeake because of shoaling. They placed numerous temporary buoys
outside the normal channel. I downloaded new charts two weeks later and
both the vector and raster versions of the NOAA electronic charts were
updated with the new buoys. I was very impressed.

I am also a satisfied Rose Point/Coastal Explorer user.

PS: The channel is to be dredged this spring using Maryland State and Queen
Anne's County funds.
