T&T: Updating basemap charts on Garmin 492/498 GPS/Chartplotters

I have a Garmin 2010C that was superceded by the 3010C series.  When I 
bought the 2010C there is an extra electronics port.  I was told that was 
for future improvements and updates to the unit.  NOT SO.  2010C Old 
customers have been left in the cold as far as equipment upgrades go.  The 
only upgrades I can get are to pay alot of money to update Garmin charts. 
Bottom line is I have a great display that can only use Garmin products.  I 
will not make the same mistake in the future.
