T&T: Random Coast Guard safety inspections

I can't speak for the flares but my brother in law is VP in Sales for
Mustang Survival Lifejackets (the orange ones with the little seahorse on
the front) and he travels the world selling the same lifejackets, suits,
auto inflatables etc everywhere. He has even sold to the US and Canadian
Coast Guard. I have a couple of the jackets and inflatables and all have
the certification that they meet the requirements in both the US and Canada.

I am thinking that this would be a pretty standard thing for all lifejacket
manufacturers to make their products to meet the requirements in both
countries.

Not meant to be a sales pitch for Mustang.

Rob - lost in snowy Alberta with a boat with no bottom

Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have millions of old ladies
running around with tattoos and pierced navels?
