T&T: Racor 900 Filter question

Good Evening All,
 
 
We know the Racor 500's need a bushing for the new style filter to work on  
the old style housing. That indentation on the bottom of the new filter exposed 
 the fuel feed line, and rendered the filter useless. Today I changed the 
Racor  900 filters on my main engines, and the new filters have the same  
indentation as the new 500 filters. Do the Racor 900's also need the bushing to  be 
installed in the housing, are are they OK as is?
