Gordon,
I just got this photo from my broker. He says it happened in Calif.
Somewhere. A forward sling or wire broke when off loading from a ship.
This is not intended to scare you away from shipping your boat, it's just
that accidents do happen. :-{

Subject: T&T: Shipping my boat from Asia to North America
Has anyone out there shipped a yacht from Asia to a port in North America
and if you have do you have any recommendations/comments or thoughts.
I had booked and paid to have my vessel transported by Dockwise but they
recently informed me that they were delaying the voyage until February 2008,
without giving me a very complete explanation. Apparently the sea trials of
their new boat did not go very well.
I have a very good quote from a firm named Yacht Path International. Does
anyone know anything about them?
Gordon
