T&T: Durabak- sticky cure?

I covered the teak decks three years ago with Durabak and also had the
Sticky, dirt trapping experience. After talking with Durabak, who insisted
they had never, ever had a problem, I called Interlux and spoke with an
engineer in their product center. He suggested I apply one or two coats of
Interlux "Brightsides" single coat polyurethane paint since it is the
similar in chemistry and should bond well. I have half of the decks covered
now and it looks promising. It bonded well, covered easily and is actually
13 degrees cooler according to my laser  thermometer. I have two  more
gallons to go and remain optimistic.
