I know nothing about teflon rings or such, but the man that cleans my boat does so with a very simple setup. A very cheap (harbor freight type) compressor with abt 2 gallon pancake tank, external filter/separator of some sort and standard plastic compressor hose to his regulator. I queried him about it and he has been using it for 3 years with no ill effects so far. I cannot vouch for the safety of it but it was certainly effective for the hour he is under my boat.
YMMV

I an going to build a hookah dive system and I saw this
Hitachi ec79 oil free 6 gallon pancake air compressor. I know that
you need a compressor that has teflon rings. How do you know if that
compressor (ec79)
has teflon rings. and is it the right size to do basic boat underwater
service?
Thanks in advance.
