I recently made the trip from the York River on the Chesapeake to NYC.
On the NJ leg, overnighted at Cape May which has a wide selection of
marina's to choose from. Next day went up to the Manasquan inlet and
stayed at the Brielle Marina. Easily made at 8 knots. Manasquan is a
very mellow and well marked inlet. Next day went into NY Harbor to the
Liberty Landing Marina.

Hi all.. Have any of you have recent knowledge of the more common NJ
inlets??? I draw 4 1/2 feet and am trying to figure out where my
bailout points are, I've also been told that the Jersey inlets are
terrible with winds from the east. If thats the case I'll just motor,
but I guess I'm just thinking about mechanical and other possible
problem bail out points.
The two that pop out at me are Manasquan and Atlantic city.
