T&T: Replacing the Alternator

Morning,
 
It's also time to replace one of the old 70A Motorola alternators in  the 
Ford Lehman 135.  Since you can no longer get parts to rebuild one of  these 
units I would like to pick the groups thoughts on what to replace it  with?  I 
would like to go with at least a 100A replacement.  I hate to  think of paying 
the price for a Balmar, is there other lower cost options for  me?    Thanks,
