T&T: Cowl vents, water traps and dorade boxes

Update:
Thanks to all who relied on and off list with suggestions and 
recommendations.

I have decided to go with Plastimo from Marisafe  http://tinyurl.com/yoqfoo 
for at least two reasons.  One is, it will directly replace my Nicros 
without any alterations to the deck.  Second is cost...Vetus had similar 
products at twice the cost...I can't see the difference in quality and I am 
not a name brand shopper.  Other brands similar were more costly.

I would have liked to install SS cowls but the water trap/dorade boxes are 
all too large for my deck and using a plastic water trap with a SS cowl 
makes no sense to me.  Hopefully I will get another 14 years from these.
