Yes you can over zinc. My guess the bolt died from crevice corrosion. 3 zincs
on a shaft seems a bit much. The shaft zincs do not count in the total. They
usually only protect the shaft and prop. The rudders should be bonded to they
boat. So they would count. The trim tabs may or may not be bonded to the boat.
So you need to check. Another question is the swim grid brackets bonded to the
boat? A silver/silver chloride prob attached to a voltmeterB over the side
after the zincs have been working for 24 hours will tell you if you are over
or under zinced. If you have a fiberglass boat the reading should be -550 -900
millivolt.
