T&T: The end of civilisation is nigh!!

Now this is only indirectly a list issue, in that a trawler is a means of
transport!

 

I live in the UK and a respected BBC radio station carried an interview a
few days back which I found astounding. A spokeswoman for a "vegan" society
had picked up in a recent world wide survey ( don't ask me what I was too
gob smacked) that Greenhouse gasses from farm animals exceeded those from
the entire planets transport systems, and therefore we should all go
vegetarian and cull all farm animals to eliminate a significant source!!!

 

What crossed my mind was these resultant high fibre/pulse diets would
generate further greenhouse gasses and perhaps the suggestion would be in
say 10 years time that 50% of the human population should be culled in the
effort to reduce greenhouse gas?

 

Me I am going to carry on being an omnivore and cruise around in my diesel
trawler,

 

Where do these people come from, we are but an unidentifiable blip in the
planets history, do we really have that much effect??
