We did it all the time. The big problem is that you'll be in Crab Pot 
Territory the whole time. Of course if you stay on the magenta line, you'll 
see a lot of them anyway. Leave the marina, get back into the Alligator 
River channel, and follow the markers until you get to G3.

This has been discussed a lot here, or in the GL list, but be sure to honor 
the G3 marker for the Alligator River. Compared to older charts it will 
appear to be way off to the port. Once you get to it, then aim for the G1PR 
marker on the Pasquotank River (36 09M, 76 01W).

Be sure to wait until the winds and Sound calm down (<5nmph, <1ft).
