Bob,
We use a stiff drywall smoothing blade. It looks like a kitchen spatula on
steroids. Also convenient is a SS wire brush from Home Depot. The brush has a
handle about 16 inches long with wire bristles on one end and a 2" wide
scraper
blade on the other. I believe its original function was to scrape fused on
bits of hamburger from barbeque grills.
I also use the dive and gasp method of bottom cleaning. Our midsummer
cleaning date is usually about Aug. 1 so I better start the deep breathing
exercises
now.
