The Celestial's 6BT5.9M engines have the front shroud. I believe it
is listed in the parts book for the marine engines. The
industrial/truck engine manuals do not show them. Your local Cummins
dealer should be able to get them. I would not want to be down in the
engine room in a seaway without them. I am far too clumsy and
frequently lean against them when working on or even checking the
opposite engine. It is also the coolest part of the engine on which
to place a steadying hand when the water is lumpy. I have never had
any problem taking them off or putting them back on. I have seen what
unprotected pulley sheaves and belts can do to an
unwary/unlucky/clumsy sole. I simply won't take the chance.
