T&T: Supergluing Teak?

I need to fasten a piece of teak trim to a 6' run of teak plywood.
There is a rabbit in the trim, ply is = thick and all edges have been
run through a jointer.
I just conducted a test using a 1 foot section of the glue up needed.
I used denatured alcohol to clean the surfaces then applied Locktite
superglue, held firm for 1 min then let sit for 2 hours. I tested the
joint by attempting to bend the glue-up over the edge of my table saw.
It held well over 100 pounds of force and at failure the plywood
layers delaminated while the glue up remained fastened.
This tells me it's perfectly appropriate to use superglue rather than
epoxy to build this assembly. Any experienced finish carpenters have
thoughts or cautions about proceeding with this method?
