T&T: Battery Charging Questions

My battery temp problem seems to exist only on one battery post - the
negative post in one pair that is wired to the negative post in the other
pair. All other battery posts measure 20 to 30 degress less. Is this
expected?

An infrared thermometer pointed at the battery cases also reads 20 to 30
less than the one negative post in question. My next step is to swap the
hot post battery with another one and see if the high temp moves or stays in
the same position. Stay tuned.
