T&T: A/C Pump Problems

I do a couple of things to keep fouling down in my seawater intakes. First,
I have a strip of copper foil in each basket. It was suggested to me that
the copper leaches out and acts just as the copper in the bottom paint does.
I can report that I hardly ever have any fouling in there, other than the
flora kind (plant slime sorta). Also, on the AC intake and refrigerator
water intake, when I clean the baskets, I break up a Clorox toilet tank
tablet and put about half in each. This lasts a bit longer than regular
swimming pool tablets, and I think it helps keep everything clean
downstream.
